Piping on Little Lake Butte des Morts Black or orange pipeline, marked by pipeline structure delineators and safety buoys, extended between the in-water equipment and the staging area. The piping in the water was made of black or orange high-density polyethylene material and was about eight inches in diameter. The sediment from the dredging locations was removed from the lake bottom and pumped through piping back to the Little Lake Cleanup Team's main staging area. That dredging work was completed in June 2008. During cover and cap placement activities in 2009, that same pipeline was used to transport sand and gravel from our Butte des Morts Beach Road staging area to placement areas in the lake.  That in-water work was completed in May 2009.  The pipeline floated above and below the surface of the water.
